    mind blowing

Warning, if you are a Harry Potter fan this will blow your mind.

Credit my girlfriend Sarah for first bringing this to my attention, but supposedly JK Rowling has revealed that Nagini is the snake Harry released from the zoo in the Philosopher’s Stone.

    Pause. Think about it. Wow!

But analysis, is it true? Short answer maybe. I mean now that I’ve thought about it I want it to be true. But there are some issues:

Nagini is supposed to be a huge poisonous snake. Yet the snake Harry releases at the zoo is a large (but still significantly smaller) boa constrictor (non-poisonous).

Of course this is a movie, and at the filming of Philosopher’s Stone there is now way the directors or writers or anyone could have known that Voldemort would have a huge poisonous snake as a horcrux down the road. So at that point any kind of zoo snake would do.

Something to think about. I love the thought of Harry releasing Nagini, so in my mind, that is what happened!

    2. It was on tumblr. Here is the image. http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/23900000/Harry-and-Nagini-harry-potter-23996949-500-325.jpg

Again, this is unconfirmed info (and probably made up). But it speculated that Rowling's upcoming Pottermore will touch on the origin and life events of Nagini. Get pumped!!
